Jewellery Care

Over time, sterling silver jewellery that is exposed to the air, and with normal wear and tear, will tarnish. Other factors such as contact with cosmetics, perfumes, cleaning products etc can speed up this process.

If your jewellery contains sea glass or translucent gemstones, then particular care should be taken not to get your jewellery wet. Take it off before washing your hands, doing the washing up, swimming etc! If water gets behind the sea glass or gemstone it can get trapped and cause tarnishing on the inside of your pieces of jewellery, which is very difficult to remedy.

We recommend regularly polishing your jewellery with the silver cloth provided with your order. This cloth is impregnated with anti-tarnish agents and is suitable for daily use. Please do not wash this cloth. We recommend storing any unworn silver jewellery in an air tight ziplock bag, ideally with an anti tarnish tab.
